Your favorite season 6 episode

While putting this poll together, and reading the one or other review again, I realized that season 6 had some awesome episodes.

Nope, not gonna say what I think was awesome in reflection, that is what the editorial is for. Who knows, I might have changed my mind about the one or other episode. LOL

Anyway, here you go, the annual “Your-Favorite-Episode-Poll”. Have fun.

Oh, you can vote once every day. Pick your top five in the next few weeks. This poll will be open until filming starts again.

  1. the one with the autistic guy is the first one to stick out for me as i can’t remember a lot of details of some. I just remember being so impressed with that one; it was such a breath of fresh air plot wise. now, the pics that go along with each ep skew things a bit according to Steve’s expression. (6.18, 6.13, 6.03) and i need to remember which one had that wall lean…… I promise i’m not totally shallow – just with Steve. maybe we need a separate poll just about the pics…..

  2. My favourite episodes for season 6 are the ones that I like the whole episode and to re watch over and over again and there were not many that I wanted to watch again. Some episodes had some great scene with Steve but I did not like the whole episode. Like 6.07 Na kama hele love Steve in this episode but did not like Lynn if Catherine was in this episode it would be in the top 5 for me.
    My Fav top 5 are
Ep 3 Ua ‘o’oloku ke anu I na mouna It had a very sad ending but was acted well between Alex and Michelle and I loved the whole episode.
Ep 15 Ke koa lokomaika’i Loved the scenes with Steve and Neil the man with Autism and the fight between Chin and Gabriel loved the whole episode.
Ep 17 Waiwai loved the whole episode. Loved Steve becoming super seal when he found out Cath was in trouble.
Ep 19 Malama Ka Po’e loved the whole episode. Loved Grovor family and concerned and worried Steve and being in charge finding Grovor.
Ep 24 Pa’ a ka ipuka I ka upena nananana loved the whole episode. Steve being in charge, loved all the gun fights and the whole team working together which we did not get much of this season.

  3. My faves are all in the second half of the season, especially Aunt Deb and the one with the Autism kid.

I love Cath, but the plotting for her appearances in the first few eps were all too peripheral and ultimately maddening when she left. So they frustrated me more than anything else. Just as they frustrated McG.

    • I hemmed and hawed over that, but went with 6.02 and 6.03 in my top 5 because there was such good acting (especially 6.03) by michelle and alex.

Aunt Deb was my #1, and 6.17 – because, Steve definitely got his groove back in that one, and 6.24 because: again kick ass steve gets my vote everytime! (which makes me skeered for S7 and LIVER)

    • It’s almost like they’re not sure what to do with the character of Catherine. They should have left her in the Navy, then she could be around when her schedule allowed. Not make up odd story lines as a reason for her to disappear. All that did was cause her to toy with Steve’s heart. Frustrating.

  4. I loved seeing Cath return even if we had to endure E603, which I did because, I knew she’d be back. Aunt Deb was a stand out for me. I found it much easier to list those which nauseated me. (and there were more than five.)

  5. Forgot to mention, also liked 617. So 601-602-603-612 and 617.

I was tempted to vote for 611, not because it was so great, but because the writers blew a raspberry at the entire fandom. How cool was that?

  6. I liked 6.17 cause we got superseal back from his mourning. Kudos to Alex for acting that so well since 6.03. I surprisingly really enjoyed 6.19 w/ Grover’s family, but again we had our superseal in charge! 6.25 was awesome right up until Livergate.

  7. 7, 12, 15, 19, 24.
17 was a great one too, but these five are the ones I like to rewatch. The problem with this season is that nearly every episode has at least two storylines. What was completely annoying and most of the time boring and redundant.
But not only because of that 6.12 shines! Best episode of the season. McJoan, McAuntie, McBrother, McSEAL and McLiver! I ship them all! Sometimes you don’t know your ship until you lose it!

  8. I rewatched 6.16 last night because I find Sang Min hilariously great. One of my favs from the season, with- and the thing is… I didn’t miss Danny. In fact I forgot that ep was one of the ones he wasn’t in until I realized partway through that he wasn’t there and Steve mentioned to Chin about Danny’s visit to Jersey. Maybe it’s because he’s already missed a few and that I was used to it, or perhaps the degradation of the writing of his character made me not care as much as I would have in the past that he was absent.

Liked 6.24, 6.25 (all except the odd liver choice). Like 6.19 as well with Grover’s storyline. There’s some others as well- I really need time to rewatch some of the earlier ones from the season. 😉

  9. “Livergate” — LMAO! I loved 6.24 for the action, 6.12 for Aunt Deb and Alex’s acting when she dies. 6.06, the Halloween ep I like due to the scene when Steve tells Max that he won’t find his mother in the file folder. Such a sweet scene. 6.11 because of tipsy/kissy face Steve cutting loose (and it lets us know he isn’t serious about Lynn — hooray!), and 6.09 and 6.21 tied because of Steve/Nahele moments. I really liked 6.25 despite the medical fiasco. I liked the pacing, the sequencing and the team worried for their leader.
    That’s 7 eps….oops. Can’t pare it down to 5.
